Origin Stories #5
Thirteen coffee growing communities in Jumaytepeque region of Guatemala have poor access to clean drinking water and little access to household water. These communities need a way to collect and filter water, and a means of storage during the dry months.
The funding provided by ecoGrounds will provide water storage tanks that will store approximately 336 gallons of water for drinking and household use.
“It is going to make a big difference to be able to store water. We need water for drinking, cooking and bathing. What happens now is we end up not bathing as much or finding other ways to use less.”
